The old school of Bel Canto enjoyed a "Golden age" between 1850 and 1930. It is nature's school and it originated in Italy around the 16th and 17th century.

What made Bel Canto singers so great was not their voices but rather the way in which they used them. As exponents of this great school, the principle of the Bel Canto singers, is entirely based on storytelling.
